We highly recommend that you fill out the interest form so we can contact you directly with registration details.

Important Application Requirements

To be considered for the OWL DLI program, families must:

  • Attend one of the mandatory parent meetings.
  • Complete the OWL DLI application (available after the meeting).
  • Submit a School of Choice (SOC) application through PowerSchool.

Please Note: General enrollment registration is available year-round. We strongly encourage you to complete the District 49 (D49) general enrollment pre-registration before attending the meeting. This will help streamline both the School of Choice (SOC) and OWL DLI application processes. Helpful Link: District 49 Registration link 

To register your student for the Operation World Language (OWL) Dual Language Immersion (DLI) lottery, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete the INTEREST FORM  to receive details about the mandatory parent information meeting and student enrollment availability.

  2. Attend the parent informational meeting and complete the OWL DLI application at the event.

  3. Submit your OWL DLI School of Choice (SOC) application through PowerSchool.

  4. Wait for a notification from the school at the end of the registration cycle regarding your child's acceptance status. Acceptance into the OWL DLI program follows the District 49 School of Choice process.

Lottery Details

  • To be included in the lottery, all steps above must be completed.

  • Sibling preference is considered in the lottery process (if applicable).

  • Waiting lists are maintained for all grades, and students may be admitted until October count day of each school year.

  • Commitment to the full K-5 program is strongly recommended for student success.

  • Ensure your contact information is up to date to receive important notifications about the lottery and enrollment process.

Para inscribir a su estudiante en el sorteo de lotería del programa de Inmersión Dual en Lenguaje de Operación World Language (OWL DLI), siga estos pasos:

  1. Complete el FORMULARIO DE INTERÉS  para recibir detalles sobre la reunión informativa obligatoria para padres y la disponibilidad de inscripción para estudiantes.

  2. Asista a la reunión informativa para padres y complete la solicitud de OWL DLI en el evento.

  3. Envíe su solicitud de Escuela de Elección (SOC) para OWL DLI a través de PowerSchool.

  4. Espere una notificación de la escuela al final del ciclo de inscripción sobre el estado de aceptación de su hijo. La aceptación en el programa OWL DLI sigue el proceso de Escuela de Elección del Distrito 49.

Detalles de la Lotería

  • Para ser incluido en la lotería, debe completar todos los pasos mencionados anteriormente.

  • Preferencia para hermanos es considerada en el proceso de lotería (si aplica).

  • Se mantiene una lista de espera para todos los grados, y los estudiantes pueden ser admitidos hasta el día del conteo de octubre de cada año escolar.

  • Se recomienda el compromiso con el programa completo de Kínder a 5.º grado para el éxito del estudiante.

  • Asegúrese de que su información de contacto esté actualizada para recibir notificaciones importantes sobre la lotería y el proceso de inscripción.
